Visitor Visa 600 Business Visitor Stream 2026: What Activities Are Allowed?
The Visitor visa (subclass 600) Business Visitor stream is for short visits to Australia for permitted business visitor activities. It is not a general work visa.
What activities are permitted?
Home Affairs lists activities such as making general business or employment enquiries, investigating or negotiating contracts, conducting activities as part of an official government visit, and attending conferences, trade fairs or seminars where the visitor is not paid by the organiser.

What is not permitted?
A Business Visitor stream holder cannot work for or provide services to an Australian business or organisation and cannot sell goods or services directly to the public. Work that falls outside permitted business visitor activities generally requires a visa that authorises that work.
How long can you stay?
The Department generally grants a stay of up to 3 months for this stream, although the overall visa validity and entry arrangements depend on the individual grant.
