State Nomination 2026–27 Tracker: Official 190 and 491 Updates
Australian state and territory skilled migration programs do not all open at the same time. This tracker records only developments that Top10Migration can verify from official government sources and identifies where a jurisdiction is still waiting for new program settings or allocations.
Status snapshot: 15 September 2026. Program settings can change without notice, so applicants should use the official links below before acting.

Tasmania: 2,050 places and weekly invitations
Migration Tasmania states that it received 2,050 nomination places for 2026–27: 1,250 for subclass 190 and 800 for subclass 491. The program opened to new Registrations of Interest on 17 August 2026. Tasmania also publishes rolling data on invitations, ROIs and places remaining.
Northern Territory: 1,850 places
The Northern Territory Government announced 1,850 nominations for 2026–27, comprising 850 subclass 190 places and 1,000 subclass 491 places. The NT nomination application program opened on 21 August 2026 for all onshore and selected offshore streams.
Victoria: 2026–27 program not yet open
Victoria's official skilled visa pages state that the 2026–27 skilled visa nomination program is not yet open. Candidates should not assume that settings or invitation patterns from 2025–26 will carry forward unchanged.
NSW and Queensland: next settings awaited
NSW states that available nomination places for the current program year have been fully allocated and that it is reviewing settings for the next program year. Queensland likewise states that its 2025–26 ROIs are closed and that it is awaiting advice from the Australian Government about future settings and nomination allocations.
ACT and South Australia: allocation/program commencement pending
The ACT states that it has not yet received its 2026–27 allocation. South Australia states that skilled ROI and GSM applications are currently unavailable and will resume when the 2026–27 program commences.
Western Australia
Western Australia's official migration services material confirms that the State Nominated Migration Program provides subclass 190 and 491 nomination pathways. Because program settings and allocations can change, candidates should check Migration WA directly rather than relying on previous-year criteria.
