Parent Visa Queue 2026: Processing Dates for 103, 143, 804 and 864
Parent visas are subject to capping and queueing. This means even an otherwise eligible application may wait in a queue until a place becomes available in a future Migration Program year.

Current Home Affairs milestones
For Contributory Parent subclass 143, Home Affairs reported queue assessment for applications lodged around November 2023 and final-assessment release for applications lodged or queued up to November 2018.
For Parent subclass 103, Home Affairs reported queue assessment for applications lodged around February 2023 and final-assessment release for applications queued up to March 2014.
Home Affairs also reports aged and contributory aged Parent visa milestones separately. These dates can move as places become available and should be checked against the Department's current queue page.
What capping and queueing means
Home Affairs explains that each Migration Program year has a maximum number of Parent visa grants. Once the cap is reached, remaining eligible applications stay in the queue until places become available in a later program year.
Queue date versus lodgement date
A queue date is not always the same as the original application date. For many applications, Home Affairs assigns the queue date after assessing the core criteria needed for queue placement.
